Online player takes home almost $200 000 after eight hours of online poker action


The first event in the current Full Tilt Online Series of Poker - FTOPS 9 - drew 5 779 entrants, boosting the guaranteed one million dollar prize pool to $1 155 800 midweek.

Players paid a buy-in of $200+$16 to participate in the event, which was hosted by poker ace Allen Cunningham, who unfortunately failed to make the money bubble.

After eight hours of online poker action, player Garfield25, who started the tourney as chip leader and dominated throughout, prevailed in a heads up with dorindandy to take the main prize of $199 398 and change, leaving his opponent with a six-figure second place paycheck of $120 781.10.
