Can't help but feel they flip a switch at times

What's amazing is just how when you're winning it feels so easy, absolutely easy as it gets.... But losing sometimes feels like it's simply railroading you straight into a loss.

I don't mind losing money but what I don't get is when you can't even juggle some hits, build a little and then come down. Rather than put money in and every cent just go straight down, I just don't understand how it seems no matter what game you go to its the same.

That's what gets me, it doesn't matter the game... They all just bring nothing to help when you have those moments. I burned about 500 bucks today in about 2 hours and I wasn't high rolling, just 1s and 2s and there was literally no play at all... Just deposit and straight down, not even a slight bump at all.

But there are days where every game feels like it hits, that's why it feels like a switch especially after a cash out.

You pretty much put it to how I feel. When winning, it feels easy. So many times ive thought hmm I could do this as a day job. But then you go cold and you feel like someone is sitting in their chair at the casino, making you lose

Yea like it's nuts, I racked up 3k the other over the course of a few days and it felt effortless at times, today it feels utterly impossible and even tho I have racked up some nice winnings in the last year it still feels impossible.. The money I dropped today has me a bit sick, I just need that moment where I win back 6 or 700 and can cash out.

I'm glad this isn't a thread about the 'R' word, I couldn't handle another one of those. But rather, about switches!

Wonder what these switches actually look like....are they your average plastic switch, found in every home, or perhaps they're red to mark "Danger!"?

In all seriousness, I think the switches they use to control our RTP are solid gold, but that's just a hunch :nod:

It's a big red button!!! Every casino has one in their main server room! ;)

OP, I do understand your feelings and I think the majority of players have them.

No no no Lotusch, you're confusing buttons with switches.

The big red button is a fail-safe emergency device only used when a player is on the cusp of winning big/ is about to win big, so as to prevent a major cashout.

Hence the laggy spins, disconnects etc.

Switches just lower your RTP over time, think 'death by a thousand spins';)

I know ultimately they aren't rigged but slots are the biggest mindf*** in the world :p

It's just those moments when you feel random sometimes doesn't feel like random especially when no matter what you do, no matter what... You can't turn it around, that's all.

I do however find it always interesting that these moments happen about 100x more hardcore after cash outs, How convenient, right?? :D

You will never win at (blank blank blank) again!

A couple weeks ago, I MAY have commented with a little comment-y comment in here about a popular site. Annnnnd...it is very possible that I may NOT have thought about the ramifications of commenting a comment-y comment so freely, because the moment I hit send, my PM notification got LITUP! One of the subject lines read: You will never win at (blank blank blank) again!

That was two weeks ago. I have not won since. TBH, I hadn't been winning all that much before. No change. No switch.

Which site Kelly?

In any case, my bovada switch still seems to be intact as this cold run is forcing me to my usual quit for a month or so. And my pattern is typically this...

1. Return from month off, play 50 to 100 bucks and actually hit nicely to build a bankroll.

2. Fiddle with bankroll for a week or so, eventually rack up 500-1500 bucks, clock out and while waiting for my check I decide to build again.

3. I start then putting in 50, 100, 200, 300...every deposit goes straight to zero, no middle of the road hits, just straight to the bottom every deposit. Basically getting to where my withdrawal is a wash sometimes.

4. Realize there's almost nothing I can to turn the tides, every game same outcome... Then quit for a month or so again

This is my exact pattern over the last year and half. Only difference was hitting an RJ.

I guess I just feel like it's always convenient that after I have a nice run it's dead "every time" for weeks after, like clockwork. That just doesn't sound like rng to me, because rng should dictate at least every so often to cash out and bam I'm hitting again, that should be a part of the equation every so often. Instead the equation is cash out and prepare to lose nonstop for a few weeks.

It is what it is, but it's always very peculiar. And I don't need to win big every time I'm just talking about worthwhile hits that are fun to keep ya spinning for a bit longer, but deposit to 0.00 with about zero play is simply spot on every time after cash outs.

@Savatage

A couple weeks ago, trancemonkey sent me a link to the UKGC during a discussion about aliens and voodoo and RTP conspiracy theories.

Visiting this site has effing ruined my gambling high. I don't think I will ever forgive trancemonkey. Ever! Like you, I question many things. It is getting so old. I am sick and tired of trying to figure this business out. I want what UKGC provides. I want to gamble with a moderate amount of trust. I don't think you are out of line with your questions. You are spot on in your observations. The folks commenting in a joking manner about conspiracy theories and the like probably have the privilege of gambling within the protective embrace of the UKGC.

I feel you, brother. That's all I wanted to say.

From someone who works where there is a server room (datacenter),

that big red switch would cut the power to everything and would for sure would cause you to loose your money, at least temporarily :p

am sorry but i have noticed as well if you cash out, the lose is madding, same with games yes you gett a winning streak, then bang it is just lose , lose lose, to the point were random numbers dont seem to be random, and the ukgc all it dose is help the casinos not the player,as well yes have noticed to big wins they log you out and refund your bet its a disgrace, you cant win the odds are stacked so high against you, happened to me in april with cash or crash was looking at 110000 they logged me out i was so angry
