DOA2 1,000 bonuses - Where's my WildLine?

How often on average does DOA2 bonus give a wildline? I heard upon release (not sure they were official stats) that bonus frequency was 191 spins, re-trigger on average every 50 bonuses and a wildline on average every 151 bonuses.

Today I surpassed 1,000 bonuses without a wildline or a 5 scatter trigger.
I cannot ‘crack’ this game, I’ve had wildlines and 5 scatters on Who’s the Bride, Sticky Bandits 3 and Bandits Thunderlink and all seem in line with expected stats on those games with RTP close to TRTP having played way less spins than on DOA2.

My stats for the 118,000 tracked spins and 388 bonuses on DOA2 (though I’ve done an estimated further 180-200,000 non-tracked spins), mainly on 36p stake are:

  • RTP (Money in/Out) – 90.51% - Helped by a 2920x win on 90p stake
  • Statistical RTP (based on stake) – 87.57% -
  • Bonus Frequency – 304 Spins
  • Retrigger Frequency – 44 Bonuses on average
  • Biggest Win – 4,093x
To summarise the stats, my re-trigger average is above expected. However, bonus frequency is way below expected. Whilst RTP can take millions of spins to converge on TRTP, I expected after 300,000 spins bonus frequency to be closer to the expected. Also, my RTP is almost 10% below the TRTP, a big paying Wildine bonus could change this (would need 15,00x+ to get close to the stated 96.8%), should it be closer after 300,000 spins?

What are other players stats for 'wildline per bonus' frequency? I’ve watched several streamers do a wildline hunt and they very rarely get to 200 bonuses before hitting one.

Sorry for the rant/waffle, but suppose my key questions are; in 300,000 spins, have I endured a really bad run and does anyone know the official NetEnt stats for bonus frequency, wildline, re-trigger, and 5 Scatter frequencies?

@bianchini82 do you keep track of any stats for your doa2 bonuses?

I asked on his YouTube channel last week on his 51st WildLine video and said he'd had between 5-6,000 bonuses so must get them way more frequently than the figure I stated (avg every 151 bonuses) and suggests I'm getting a really raw deal, or he has been really lucky and is officially the WildLine King :):D.

I couldn't even bonus the slot! Believe me I tried but I still think the UK is at a disadvantage as we have to grind away to get the bonus whilst most others can buy the bonus and seem to regularly get a decent win.

Agreed

Those with bottomless purses and wallets can relentlessly buy the bonuses until the "dream hit" finally drops.

Get a handful doing this and it will suck out all the RTP from the slot, leaving not even crumbs for us mere mortals!

I must say that my experience on DOA2 is very different to what most others have described.

Have found on occasion its not that bad a game to play, especially compared to high volatility games of late, but you need the four or five of a kinds to keep you going.

Conufuscing say 'don't grind a game if it's draining money, and money never drain from grinding a game' :p

On a possibly more serious note depending on how you interpret my flawless wisdom, I think its just pot luck.

Have done my own grind of MT2, only to see a friend hit 15K who rarely, I mean very rarely, plays it.

Kroffe has had umpteen wildlines on Who's The Bride, but I am yet to find one since release.

Also still waiting on a second wildline from DOA for about four years now I think.

I don't mind DOA2 and think it's one of the best games ever made personally, but don't grind that bitch if she ain't turning tricks.

Since the 1,000 bonus I'm on one of the 1000 spin and 400x stake balance depletion that the game often does, and never seems to make up for, rarely get a flurry of bonuses close together to make-up for the long dead spells.

I believe it would've been cheaper to buy the 1,000 bonuses (as 304 spins for each bonus on average certainly drains more than the 66x stake buy-in). And certainly quicker now we don't have auto and quickspins. Spend a few days recently playing 'four up' across 4 casinos to try and speed up the process, furiously clicking away, got an RSI :eek2:, cheers UKGC.

This is definitely true, although it's probably the mind seeing patterns, but when it's dead, it's dead across all four casinos, scatters just vanish, and grinding has not helped my bank balance, did 4000x stake very quick.

Free Spins frequency on DOA2 is 1 in 195 by the way. I don't know how often a wildline hits.

p.s. That feature hit frequency is for the 96.80& model.

In the main you are right. Many games list a higher RTP for Bonus Buys, so they will pay out more over time than if you play the game normally.

Not sure about DOA2, but if we could Bonus Buy in the UK, I would definitely try a Bianchini.

Cheers, shows I am getting a raw deal, at least on the 118,000 tracked spins, could be higher on the other 200,000 I've done, though RTP on the 200,000 will definitely be lower as most of the bigger wins have come during the tracked spins.

The higher the volatility on a slot, the larger the possible divergence in TRTP in a smaller set of spins (or, put the other way, the larger the number of spins needed to track towards TRTP). Given the volatility of DOA2, I would expect somewhere in the region of 5-10 million to start converging.

Obviously, that depends on luck. You could converge super soon, but the high volatility makes the possibility of divergence much more likely.

I'm not sure anyone has ever quoted any official figures for DOA2 on CM.

The figure of 150 bonuses does seem familiar though. But for DOA1
IIRC, the figures weren't quoted for a wildline, per se. But were 150 bonuses on average for a win greater than 1000x

I have no stats, infact, i answer that i got 5/6k bonuses but maybe are 10or12k bonuses.... cant remember... grinding it for years.

But hey, in my (now 53) wildlines the very big big wins are 5 or 6, the other all tiny wildlines from 1000 to 4000x.
No stats, but im pretty sure i'm up a lot with this game cause i have separate bank accounts (game/life/work)

Spins: Schwad, you told about 118k spins, in 03/2021 when i had covid i did something like 10-15k spins x day, so its not a big number.

A friend that lives near me is also a doa2 grinder and started in 2020, i know nothing about stats but had 14/15 wildlines (1 of those 71.000x at 0,36)

1 thing i can assurely is that buying bonuses on this is devastating, did it some times , expensive and useless, cause is easy to get a bonus (expecially grinding it in 4 windows)

Luck ! Just that we need on this game

btw, last days is cold as ice :D and of course my english s#xx

There's no number or statistics to put behind on how many times the game does a bonus or on how many average bonusses it takes to get a wildline. You have to get lucky. Thats all there is to it.

This took me 60 games on avg.

all time I make deposit I do like 100 spins each in DOA and DOA2 many times I got lucky with wildline and many times with good win
I watch this guy play DOA he gets lot times wildline and 5 scatter in DOA on 0.09 cent

also stream Slotspiner he wins big many times

last time like 2 month ago he got 2 wildlines same stream one paid like 25k another 200k

The thread is here somewhere - from memory (and experience about right) wildline for DOA 1 was about 230 - I vaguelly remember for DOA was much more like 380z

Thanks @bianchini82, your English is amazing. I always have a deep respect for someone who speaks a second language; I lived near Naples for 11 months and even with weekly lessons from an Italian teacher, daily use of Rosetta Stone, Babbel and DuoLingo I could just about order a coffee.

You're right about DOA2 being cold as ice the last few days, could barely even bonus the game.

Whilst it's generally agreed for TRTP to converge on a high volatility game, does anyone have an opinion on how many spins before bonus frequency converges? Surely this should only take a few hundred thousand spins.

For context, after 121,000 tracked spins now mine sits at 1 in 306 so way below the 1 in 195 stated game frequency after 394 bonuses. Even if the next 80,000 spins gave a bonus on average every 150 spins I'd still be at a 1 in 221 bonus frequency. And looking at yesterdays play the bonus frequency is way off that at the moment. The screenshot below were taken when the bonus finally dropped (DOA2 is cold at the moment, not a good time for grinding).

I had an exciting bonus the other day, 8 spins with the wild set-up on the screenshot.
Paid a bit over 1900x, cant complain but it was a little disheartening having so many spins left without any more wilds dropping in.

Gotta hate it when you get an amazing start and the Wilds vanish, it's bloody exciting though ;) heart starts pounding.
